Who We Are
Entrepreneurial Kidz is an engaging, student-centered workshop series designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through hands-on learning, creativity, and real-world problem-solving. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate, aligned with 21st-century skills, and intentionally crafted to support school and district goals around college and career readiness.
Led by Youth Entrepreneurship Coach Tameka Henson and a dynamic team of young entrepreneurs, our program empowers students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and explore their own potential as innovators and leaders.
Coach Tameka brings over two decades of entrepreneurial experience—spanning cosmetology, retail ownership through a successful online children’s boutique, and now, the creation of Entrepreneurial Kidz. Her journey reflects her deep passion as a mother, mentor, and businesswoman. She is committed to inspiring the next generation to believe in their abilities and to see themselves as capable creators of opportunity.
Entrepreneurial Kidz partners with schools and districts to provide meaningful, impactful enrichment experiences that help students build confidence, develop practical skills, and imagine a future filled with limitless possibilities.
Programs & Approach
Entrepreneurial Kidz offers a series of high-impact workshops and bootcamps throughout the year, designed to equip students with the foundational knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to launch their own business ideas. Our programs align with college and career readiness standards and support schools in fostering creativity, financial literacy, and real-world problem-solving.
Through interactive lessons, group activities, and guided exploration, students learn how to turn their ideas into actionable plans while building confidence and leadership skills. Our work is centered around three core focus areas:
1. Interest Into Income
Students are encouraged to explore their interests, hobbies, and natural talents as potential business ideas. Through brainstorming sessions and guided discussions, they analyze the pros and cons of entrepreneurship, helping them understand what it means to operate as a young business owner and how their passions can translate into sustainable ventures.
2. Building a Brand
Students dive into the essentials of branding and marketing. They learn to create logos, taglines, and catchphrases and explore different marketing tools and platforms. A key part of this module focuses on identifying a target audience and understanding effective ways to reach and engage that audience—skills that directly support communication and digital literacy development.
3. Finding the FUNding
Students discover where startup funding can come from and explore age-appropriate financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, and reinvesting profits. They also learn practical steps for managing revenue once their business begins to earn income. This component promotes financial literacy, responsibility, and long-term planning.
Entrepreneurial Kidz empowers students to think creatively, take initiative, and develop a growth mindset—skills that support success in school, career pathways, and life.
Who we Serve
Our programs are open to students ages 9–17 who have an interest in entrepreneurship, leadership development, or financial literacy. We welcome learners of all backgrounds and skill levels—from those exploring business concepts for the first time to those already running a small venture.
Entrepreneurial Kidz works closely with schools, districts, and youth organizations to provide inclusive, engaging learning experiences that nurture creativity, confidence, and real-world problem-solving. Our goal is to empower students to discover their strengths, develop essential life and career skills, and see themselves as capable innovators who can make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Join us for our Youth Entrepreneurship Expo, a dynamic marketplace where young creators, innovators, and business owners get to shine! This exciting event gives children the opportunity to showcase, promote, and sell their products or services to the community.
Families, educators, and supporters are invited to browse businesses owned and operated by youth, celebrate their creativity, and encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs. The expo not only highlights young talent but also provides real-world experience in marketing, customer service, financial literacy, and business ownership.
